I love this monitor, it broke after 7 months of use. Amazon will not refund after 30 days, however if you go to the AVENT website and have proof of purchase, they offer a two year replacement warranty and will send you return shipping labels for a replacement. So, bummed that it broke, but excited I am getting a replacement so I will be up and running again.

We tried many baby monitors both cheaper and more expensive models. This one is by far the best combination of quality for the price. Yes the temperature feature has it quirks - it does always register high - but you can set the alarm for a higher temp or turn it off entirely. Most importantly for a baby monitor is that it has zero to no feedback (we live in a large apt building and have never had an issue with phones wifi etc etc) and the sensitivity functionality works great. Bottom line you want a monitor that allows you to determine what you want to hear and what you don't. This does that very well. Others have noise alerts - but as everyone with a newborn knows they make a lot of noise when they sleep and if the monitor picks it all up - you will never get any sleep yourself. This monitor works perfectly - only turns on when it reaches the noise threshold you set - so you only hear what you want to hear - the rest of the time it is blissfully quiet. Its also small and easy to move around and seems to hold a charge for plenty of time. I highly recommend this model. For example stay away from the Sony models - they are cheaper but no sensitivity settings so the thing goes off all night at every little peep and also has huge interference and feedback problems.

I bought this product because of the temperature measurement feature. For my surprise, I can't change it from Fahrenheit to celcius. It's unbelievable. I don't understant why this feature is not available. Take this into account if you are out of the US.

This product was very easy to set-up and so far it hears everything. My husband and I really like the temperature monitor feature as our son's room is one that faces the sun so it gets alot of heat. The monitor has alot of nice features. We haven't used it as intended yet as our son is due anyday now, but it has come in handy to monitor what our cats are doing in the nursery. My husband researched baby monitors extensively and found that going with the DECT technology is best for the least amount of interference.

I have used this baby monitor for over half a year. I must say this baby monitor is one of the best I've seen. It's small but yet loaded with useful features such as a built-in night light and digital soothing melody tunes.

The parental unit is small and light. It comes with a charger base so that you can sit it there to recharge when not in use. The unit has a the LCD readouts with backlight. Linking up the parental unit with the baby monitor is easy. Just turn on both units and they will automatically link up. So far I haven't experienced any drop in connection when they have linked up.

The sensitivity can be set on the parental unit such that you can pick up the lightest of sound in the baby room. You can also speak through to the baby monitor at the press of a button on the parent unit. It's a useful feature in case you are far from the baby room and need to calm your baby with your voice.

In all, I would highly recommend this Philips Avent baby monitor. I know your baby deserves it.
